Posted August 7, 2013 - Buddy. One of our rescued dogs. The original plan was to foster him for a while but we failed miserably at that and fell in love with his personality. He came from a bad neglect situation where his former owners chained him outside with a very short chain and eventually tired of him completely. He had a house that would flood when it rained so he had to jump on top of it to escape the water. If it wasn't for the kindness of a neighbor, he would've died of starvation or thirst but knowing his heart, he might've died of loneliness first. He still has some abandonment issues but he's come a long, long way. He is without a doubt the most affectionate dog I've ever seen. I'm proud to call him my son and its nice to know he doesn't have any more bad or hungry days now. He's adapted wonderfully to the indoor life and most nights he's curled up either right beside us or sprawled out on top of us.
