I found this video the other day and it really took me back to a good time. I grew up with some of my family owning and racing drag boats, and I even got the chance to go to a few drag boat races in the early ’80’s.

I really enjoyed seeing my friend Billy Vance race again in this video. Billy had never seen this until I showed it to him the other day. Rick Hendrick is also in the video a few times describing various things. Sadly, Jimmy Wright, the pilot of Rick’s boat “Nitro Fever”, is no longer with us. This would’ve been one of the last races he was in before he was killed after a pass in September, 1982 at Litchfield, Illinois.
