I’ve been around for so many Hendrick Motorsports Media Days that I’ve lost track. So many paint scheme and driver unveilings through the years, and so much hype and hoopla. I secretly LOVE it, but I try my best to act like it’s just another day. My department is responsible for working with the graphic artists, decal companies, paint company, teams, drivers, and sponsor executives to ensure everything appears as they’ve envisioned. We are the first ones to lay out and paint each new paint scheme. We work out any bugs in the design, and tweak the 2D layout to work in a real-world 3D environment. There is so much hard work that goes on behind-the-scenes to make these things happen, that it’s natural for me to be proud. I’m proud of all my employees and the countless hours that go into pulling something like this off for the teams and sponsors. It’s a true group effort, and I’ve got the greatest people around me; they are the best in the business. I am so fortunate to work with them, and when we get the thank yous from the sponsors after these types of events, it makes everything worth it.
2007 Hendrick Motorsports Media Day

Welcome to my online home since 2004. I blog a bit about my life as it happens, my work as I am permitted, and occasional throwback entries. When I'm not writing new posts, I actively curate this blog, improving the wording or adding new media to old posts, and finally finishing old drafts I've left sitting for years. It is not my intention to be a source of news or content. I don’t have anything to sell, and I’m not trying to get likes/shares/follows. This site is an autobiographical effort - imperfections and all. My life, remembered in my words, my way.
