Dale Earnhardt Jr’s Grandfather, Robert Gee, was a great influence on my early years in racing. He was truly a mythical figure to me as a young man growing up around the shop at Hendrick Motorsports. I considered it a great honor to know him, and to see his grandson Dale pay tribute to one of Robert’s old cars is really neat to me.
