HMS first chassis “Dusty”

I am quite proud to have supervised the restoration of “Dusty”, the first chassis Hendrick Motorsports ever built in-house. Once again, my guys did an amazing job! The car looks incredible! To see the car being presented to Rick Hendrick by my dad and the other 20+ year employees, was a real treat.

Here’s an article on the restoration and the presentation to Mr. Hendrick. The article even has a quote from yours truly. Enjoy this little bit of racing history! Hendrick Presented With First Chassis

And thankfully no one asked why it was named “Dusty”! Whew!

Welcome to my online home since 2004. I blog a bit about my life as it happens, my work as I am permitted, and occasional throwback entries. When I'm not writing new posts, I actively curate this blog, improving the wording or adding new media to old posts, and finally finishing old drafts I've left sitting for years.
