I’d like to introduce Mr. Jasper James Myrick. We adopted him today from a rescue. He’s about 4-1/2 years old, and is a Lab/Retriever mix. He’s a bit of a silly boy, but he’s very well behaved. He’s good on a leash, rides good in a car, and is an all around good doggie. We’re looking forward to seeing him grow and change as we focus on helping his separation anxiety. At the same time, his arrival helps to close the chapter on our former dogs, the last of which we lost just a few months ago. While they’ll never be replaced and we’ll always remember them, it’s crucial to offer a good life to Jasper, and in doing so, he’ll help us heal as well.
Introducing Jasper
Written by Michael Myrick
Welcome to my online home since 2004. I blog a bit about my life as it happens, my work as I am permitted, and occasional throwback entries. When I'm not writing new posts, I actively curate this blog, improving the wording or adding new media to old posts, and finally finishing old drafts I've left sitting for years. It is not my intention to be a source of news or content. I don’t have anything to sell, and I’m not trying to get likes/shares/follows. This site is an autobiographical effort - imperfections and all. My life, remembered in my words, my way.
