I found this video the other day and it really took me back to a good time. I grew up with some of my family owning and racing drag boats, and I even got the chance to go to a few drag boat races in the early ’80’s.

I really enjoyed seeing my friend Billy Vance race again in this video. Billy had never seen this until I showed it to him the other day. Sadly, Jimmy Wright, the pilot of the boat “Nitro Fever”, is no longer with us. The race in this video would’ve been one of the last ones Jimmy was in before he was killed after a pass in September, 1982 at Litchfield, Illinois.
