My Back 2

As it stands now, I will be having back surgery Monday morning. I have a couple of issues that have plagued me for years, and in particular, the last few months pretty intensely. The disc between L3/L4 vertebrae has ruptured and completely filled the void all the way down to the L4/L5 disc on the right side.

A separate issue, the L4/L5 disc is herniated and is pressing on the nerve on the left side.

As a result, the left side hip, knee, and ankle pain I’ve had for years, may have been nerve related all along. The right side pain is pretty new, happening within the last month or two. It is quite a bit more intense, and has even stopped me from being able to drive a car recently. After the surgery, I am expected to be pain free, which is something I haven’t known since I was in my teens.

I’ll be praying for me, so you don’t have to. I’m in great hands, so there are no worries! Thanks! I love you all whole big bunches!

Welcome to my online home since 2004. I blog a bit about my life as it happens, my work as I am permitted, and occasional throwback entries. When I'm not writing new posts, I actively curate this blog, improving the wording or adding new media to old posts, and finally finishing old drafts I've left sitting for years. It is not my intention to be a source of news or content. I don’t have anything to sell, and I’m not trying to get likes/shares/follows. This site is an autobiographical effort - imperfections and all. My life, remembered in my words, my way.
